ELIE M. KHADRA
Elie M. Khadra is a director of photography based in the Bay Area.
He grew up in Lebanon, where the mountains meet the Mediterranean Sea. He got his start at Studio Vision, a regional TV production company. After relocating to Dubai, he freelanced with different companies before moving to Doha, working with an international team at Qatar’s National Television on the launch of a new channel.
Since 2015 he has been based in the United States.
Khadra has shot for a variety of media outlets such as The New York Times, HBO, BBC, ABC News, KQED Arts, Al Jazeera English and The Economist, along with many other projects with agencies, corporations and independent filmmakers.
Elie M. Khadra attended the September 2024 American Society of Cinematography Master Class in LA, where he was mentored by renowned cinematographers Ernest Dickerson ASC, Salvatore Totino ASC, and Tobias Schliessler ASC. He also connected with other ASC members, further refining his skills and deepening his mastery of the craft.
Outside of his principal focus on cinematography, he also directs independent projects. Additionally, he grew up editing alongside filming. Over the years, he has edited for a variety of TV shows such as Showtime’s “The World According to Football” and on short documentaries and web series, and many more.
